Hi ! 

 

My name is Philippaerts Tessa, born in 1992 in Belgium.

I finished my bachelor as a biomedical lab technician But I'm currently working as a chemical lab technician for Borealis.

I started my running carreer at the track and field club in Alken, we always participated the youth "pentathlon" races and later on got specialised in longjump and hurdles,... Sprinting and power was my passion.

I started with sleddog sports in 2005 in the canicross category with my whippet Angel.

Together we have conquered many podiums and we continued improving ever since. I was always amazed how much faster you can run with a dog that pulls and works together with you as a team.

Currently I have 5 dogs: Angel (whippet 12 years), Gucci (whippet 10 years), Yukon (Alaskan husky/hound mix 6.5 years), Unix (Alaskan husky 3 years), Lychee (hound 1.5 years).

Since a couple of years i started in bikejöring also with Yukon, he is the star of our team with 2 world champion titles canicross on his palmares.

We started to experiment more and more and currently fell in love with scooter 1 and 2 dogs but also skijöring.

Unix is my "sparring" partner as I always call her, she joins me on my trainings since she is the smallest of my racing pack. Nevertheless don't let her size deceive you, there is some power in that little dog too!

Lychee is the new star, she is still young and has to learn a lot. But i'm sure she will become just as good as the master Yuk. He is teaching her everything to become a champ!
